McDonald's: Plainfield, Connecticut

Welcome to another edition of Retail on the Thames! Today we're checking out another one of Connecticut's old McDonald's.

INFO: This McMansard was built in 1989, and it's the only original McDonald's left in Windham County. The other 3 McDonald's in Windham County are located in Brooklyn, which got an EotF renovation in 2018, Killingly, which is a Forever Young style McD's that replaced an old McMansard down the road that closed in 2009, and Putnam, which got a pre-EotF style renovation as early as 2015. The Plainfield location has a 2000's style interior, which was possibly a remodel. The paint on the roof is chipping a bit, but besides that, this location is in good condition.

PICURES:

The front of the restaurant.

The interior. (Social distancing guidelines included!)

The main sign, which towers over the restaurant.
A drive-thru sign that has seen better days.

Entering the drive-thru.

The end of the drive-thru. Here you can see a lot of the paint chipping on the roof.

That's it for this one! I'll see you all next time!
